Alumni

Gator Engineering alumni have made significant contributions to the advancement of technology in the United States and worldwide. One noted Gator Engineering alumnus, John Vincent Atanasoff, invented the first electronic digital computer. His 1939 prototype laid the groundwork for the massive explosion in computer-related innovations. Other alumni are leaders in government, industry and non-profit organizations, demonstrating that an engineering degree from the College of Engineering is a valuable ingredient in a successful future.
