This Friday the Engineering Administration mail service will transition
into UF Exchange. There are a number of changes relating to this transition
that have been previously explained. This message is to inform you
specifically about how Gatorlink forwarding will change.
Gatorlink forwarding refers to the eventual mailbox that receives email
sent to your Gatorlink address ([gatorlink]@ufl.edu).
All users that are having their mailbox transitioned into UF Exchange
will have their Gatorlink forwarding set to [gatorlink]@mail.ufl.edu. This
address, [gatorlink]@mail.ufl.edu, is a new alias for your UF Exchange
mailbox. The @ENG.UFL.EDU addresses assigned to your mailbox
will remain and deliver to the UF Exchange mailbox as well.
To avoid confusion we are recommending that you DO NOT
change your forwarding on the Gatorlink website after the transition.
For users that have a Gatormail mailbox, accessible via
http://webmail.ufl.edu or in a POP/IMAP
client, email will no longer deliver here. Do not be alarmed, however, your
Gatormail mailbox will still be accessible. The email stored here
WILL NOT be deleted and can be moved to your UF
EXCHANGE mailbox if you wish.
Please note: Only Gatorlink forwarding will be changed. There will
be no changes made to your published business email address.
As always, you can call 392-9217 or email mis@eng.ufl.edu if you
have comments or questions regarding the information contained within
this message.
