Cammy Abernathy, dean of UF’s College of Engineering, has been selected to be one of fourteen advisors for Epicenter, or the National Center for Engineering Pathways to Innovation, which is funded by the National Science Foundation. Abernathy and other members of Epicenter’s National Advisory Board were identified as leaders in engineering, entrepreneurship and innovation education.

During her time as dean at the College of Engineering at UF, Abernathy has created the Engineering Innovation Institute and the Engineering Leadership Institute. Both programs have become flagships to her mission of graduating “new engineers” – students who are ready to transform the 21st century with strong technical skills, leadership skills, and a human-centered approach towards innovation.
