Research Administration

The College of Engineering Office of Research supports faculty and students within the College in developing and maintaining internationally recognized research programs in their area of expertise.  The Associate Dean for Research oversees this Office, working within and outside the College to identify new research opportunities, facilitate interdisciplinary pursuits, and interface with federal and state agencies, industry, and foundations.  Units within this Office include the Office of Engineering Research (OER) – tasked with assisting College of Engineering faculty in proposal submission and administration of awards, the Research Service Centers – providing UF persons and external users with fee-based access to major experimental facilities for characterization and fabrication, the COE General Services & Facilities Office – overseeing space utilization for the College, and various Centers and Institutes with cross-disciplinary missions.

Faculty within the UF College of Engineering are leaders in research areas spanning from biomaterials to satellites, to advanced radar, to transportation.  Persons interested in research collaborations or partnerships with the UF College of Engineering can interface directly with  faculty, or contact the Associate Dean for Research.
