Freshman Programs

It's important to get a good start in college. If you're a freshman, consider participating in one of our programs created to help you build a proper foundation for your academic career.

  • StepUP: An Engineering Success Program Beginning with a 6-week residential component, this multi-faceted program promotes academic and personal success among minority freshman engineering students.
  • EFTP: Engineering Freshman Transition Program EFTP is a residential program, open to all incoming Fall first-year engineering students. The program is designed as a five-credit course, EFTP. Students in the program adjust to the level, speed and style of college instruction in foundation courses (Calculus & Chemistry). The program combines peer mentoring with team-building, student success tools and academic enhancement classes for entering engineering students.
