EFTP Mentor Application

The Engineering Freshman Transition Program (EFTP) is a residential program open to all incoming first-year engineering students during the summer B, fall and spring semesters. Students in the program adjust to the level, speed and style of college instruction in foundation courses (Calculus & Chemistry). The program combines peer mentoring with team-building, student success tools and academic enhancement classes for new engineering students.

As as mentor, you would be asked to lend your knowledge and experience from the College of Engineering and UF to help guide incoming freshmen in becoming successful engineering students. Additionally, you will be compensated for your time, gain experience potential employers are looking for on a resume, develop long-lasting relationships with your students and peers within the College of Engineering and develop your leadership skills such as personal counseling, interpersonal communication and team building.

In order to apply for these positions you must be available Summer B during 5th period and enrolled for both of the upcoming fall and spring semesters.

The deadline to apply has now passed. Please check back next year!
