Computing and Networking at UF

http://www.circa.ufl.edu/comp.net/ While working for CIRCA as the Web and Gopher Assistant Administrator I was a guiding force behind this site. Helping to determine content, layout, and underlying structure. During my later days at CIRCA, Fran Cruse and the other Web Admins started to take more control over the page. This page has experienced much content growth since I left but the overall 'look and feel' of the page has stayed the same. I believe the page is currently maintained by Fran Cruse herself. |

CIRCA home page
http://www.circa.ufl.edu/ This was my first attempt at using the Netscape 1.1 enhancements to HTML. This page was developed in concert with the Computing and Networking at UF page and as a result you may see a lot of similarities. Again, when I first started as the Web and Gopher Assistant Admin I was the driving force behind the development of the site. Later, as the other Web admins became more involved I lost full control over content and design to Rocky Essex. In other words, I had to get changes and additions approved by him. The crowning achievement on this site was the conversion of most of CIRCA's paper handouts to online handouts. It also contains the UF Computing Help Desk home page. I left CIRCA before either were actually completed to my satisfaction. It has remained relatively unchanged since I left CIRCA. |

College of Engineering at UF
http://www.eng.ufl.edu/ This is a current work in progress. I was hired in June 1995 as a systems/computer support/analyst for the the College of Engineering. Part of the duties was to revamp this web site. Don't complain about the amount of graphics on the home page... it only takes 2 secs to load at work, of course I'm on a T1 there.
I'm currently working on writing some CGI for the site.

Webflames Completed in December 1995. I did this small site for WebFlames when I was hired by Meridian Graphics to do part-time web work. The theme of this place was the flaming culture of the Internet... it was short lived because they didn't sell much product. |

Heritage Links
http://gnv.fdt.net/~louis/ Completed in March 1996. Heritage Links wanted to create a small page that looked exactly like their printed brochure... So they hired Meridian Graphics to do it. Unfortunately, the page had to be 800x600--but it did turn out exactly like the printed brochure. |
| FOR FREE: Also known as voluntary servitude... Well... It got the job done. |

The Rock of Gainesville
http://fdt.net/~therock The main site has finally been completed (4/22/96), but the Rock UF and Solid Rock pages still need to be done. However, don't let this development stop you from coming to Church on Sunday mornings if you are ever in town. |

Southern Custom
http://www.scustom.com/ My brother and sister-in-law's truck accessory store. They will be using this site as an online catalog. I tried teaching my brother html and spent time teaching him a bunch of stuff about the Internet but then he went and let his stepson create what you see. |
| FOR FUN: It's a rare occurrance but I do eventually have time to work on fun projects |

M Y H O M E P A G E
http://www.eng.ufl.edu/~shawn/shawn.html Well... you're here so you get to see it all. It has been kinda fun doin this home page. I actually use it myself to store my bookmarks to stuff. That way it really doesn't matter where I am or whose/which web browser I'm using it's all the same... I'll be adding some cool stuff to my page too--Like and interactive story that you--YES YOU!--can help write. So, you might want to bookmark my page and take a look at it later. |

T H E
B A S E M E N T
This is a short story that I wrote a long... long... long... time ago. It's about a little boy who faces his worst fear that lives, you guessed it, in the basement. |
