W. Gregory Sawyer
N.C. Ebaugh Professor and Distinguished Teaching Scholar
W. Gregory Sawyer received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He joined the University of Florida’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in 1999. Dr. Sawyer is a fellow of National Academy of Inventors (NAI), and a member of the University of Florida Academy of Distinguished Teaching Scholars.
Dr. Sawyer’s research interests are in Biotribology and developing a field of research in Cancer Engineering. He is the author of over 200 journal publications, over 20 patents, and 2 book chapters. Dr. Sawyer is a fellow of the STLE and an associate editor of the journals Biotribology and Tribology Letters.
