Graduate Certificates

The College of Engineering through the UF EDGE program also provides opportunity for online graduate certificates. Certificates are structured as 3-5 online courses, and can be completed in as little as a year.  Graduate certificates serve to provide graduate level qualifications for engineers in industry and the military that are interested in expanding their professional qualifications with a shorter amount of time investment than a full master’s degree.

Admission to most certificates does not require exams, and criteria for participation usually include a bachelor’s degree in a related field with a 3.0 or higher undergraduate GPA.   Certificate courses may be transferable towards credits for a related master’s degree through the UF EDGE program, so some students prefer to begin with a certificate to later see if they want to continue onto a master’s degree. Brochures and applications for online graduate certificates can be found at: www.ufedge.ufl.edu/programs/certificates.php.
