Kimberly Jacobs leads FLEX. Her responsibilities include managing programs that foster industry engagement with the College, K-12 Outreach, and Engineering Extension programs offered through regional Innovation Stations.
Allen “Al” Carlson leads UF Innovation Station Sarasota County (UFIS-Sarasota), the University of Florida’s first engineering extension office, including programs supportive of economic and workforce development across the region.
Oana Cazacu leads UF Innovation Station at the REEF (UFIS-REEF), including programs supportive of economic and workforce development across the region.
John “Trey” Womack provides strategic support to FLEX’s Engineering Extension and Outreach programs, connecting the industry with the great resources and student talent pipeline of HWCOE to enhance workforce development locally, regionally, and nationally.
Read Hayes works closely with engineering and computer science faculty across the college, helping integrate human-centered design with software and hardware developments. He works to create real-world science to practice opportunities and testing, bringing cutting-edge AI, IoT, VR, and other technologies into retail, public, and other places and spaces.
