John “Trey” Womack
John “Trey” Womack, III, joined the Florida Engineering Experiment Station, FLEX, as the Assistant Director of Engineering Extension and Outreach in May 2020. His responsibilities include developing and maintaining strategic partnerships between various regional and community stakeholders and the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering (HWCOE). He serves to connect industry-leading companies with the great resources and student talent pipeline of HWCOE to enhance workforce development locally, regionally, and nationally.
Prior to this position, Trey worked as an Account Manager for Aerotek, an Allegis Group company. In this role, he specialized in business and workforce development for various companies within the industrial sector. He was also a member of the Young Professional Council of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, and a Minority Business Consortium (Manumission), where he focused on strategic planning for business leadership, community relation, and talent acquisition in the Philadelphia area.
Trey received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia, where he was a four-year varsity letterman student-athlete.
