This day-and-a-half-long professional development workshop will focus on Artificial Intelligence, its applications in industry, and the development of teaching tools, curricula, and resources. The symposium aims to prepare, educate and provide teachers with tangible resources that incorporate AI into education.

The workshop will provide:

• Curricular tools (case studies, lesson plans, hands-on activities, project-based/experiential learning opportunities) aligned to the AI Foundations Framework that can be implemented in their classroom.
• The action plans to aid educators in conceptualizing and implementing content in the classroom throughout the year.
• Development of an online learning community through TEAMS or a similar platform that will include a repository of resources that aid in the translation of professional development learning into practice in the classroom

This effort is one component of the larger workforce strategy UF is building with the Florida Department of Education to strengthen AI capabilities across Florida’s K-20 education system.
