Allen Carlson, head of UF Innovation Station Sarasota County, will be delivering the keynote address titled “Building a winning engineering team for the coming decade” at the 2017 Fluid Power Technology Conference which will be held at Milwaukee School of Engineering, known as one of the top fluid power universities, on May 16, 2017. Carlson’s presentation will focus on the importance of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurism as key drivers in today’s high tech fast paced economy. To accelerate this requires an education system that expands both capability and capacity. It also requires a pipeline of STEM talent coupled with business and leadership acumen.
Carlson will provide perspectives and thoughts on how to succeed at building a strong and sustainable technical workforce. He will draw upon his own experience from working in the fluid power industry with assignments in engineering, marketing, operations and concluding as the CEO of Sun Hydraulics.
