In the last five years, the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering has issued patents at two times the national average per research dollar and has started companies at four times the national average per research dollar. Gator Engineering has submitted over 550 invention disclosures, issued over 260 patents, and have executed over 200 license and option agreements within that same period. At a time when technological advances push the boundaries of societal impact, the college remains at the forefront through a commitment to research excellence and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation amongst the faculty, staff, and students.
