Engineering Innovators

Today’s “New Engineer” requires important insight into the world of business, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

Established through a generous grant from the Gulf Coast Community Foundation, the UF Engineering Innovators program provides funding to subsidize students participating in internships with local companies. When combined with courses in Engineering Entrepreneurship, Engineering Innovation or Creativity, and Engineering Leadership, students can also obtain a minor in Engineering Innovation.

The Innovation Station works with the local entrepreneurial community to arrange for internships to promote students in the program to the community as well as the community to students at UF, raising the region’s profile as a destination of choice for students seeking internships, co-ops and work experiences.
