Admission

Graduate admissions into Gator Engineering programs is intensely competitive. The first step is to pick which department you’d like to join. There are 11 within our college, each with its own culture and research focus. You’ll send application materials to both the university Graduate School and to your desired department. In the end, the department itself will decide whether or not to admit you.

All of our programs offer competitive stipends for assistantships, both teaching and research. We have numerous fellowships as well available. All of these include tuition waivers. By applying by the deadline for the program you will automatically be under consideration for financial aid. Last year, we did not identify enough qualified students for all of our available financial packages.

Graduate-level applications are processed by both the UF Graduate School and the department to which you are applying. Ultimately, the admissions decision is up to the department.
