Research Institute Fellowships

The Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering offers research institute fellowships in addition to any departmental or Graduate School fellowship awards. There are 35 research institute fellowships spread out among seven differing research trusts. The research institute fellowships are defined as follows:

Iva and Norman Tuckett Fellowship
Robert C. Pittman Institute Fellowship

Each institute offers five fellowships in the amount of $4,000 to new Ph.D. students. This is a one-time paid stipend. Newly admitted Ph.D. students will be contacted in February or March about the application process for these research institute fellowships. Each institute works in collaboration with a student’s faculty advisor. There are some requirements per research institute for those students selected as fellows.

Interested students must complete the following form for consideration as a research institute fellow, Research Institute Fellowship Interest Form
