Jyoti Jinde – Biomedical Engineering

 

Jyoti Jinde, jyotijinde@ufl.edu, Biomedical Engineering, University of Mumbai
Jyoti Jinde is currently pursuing Masters in Biomedical Engineering. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Mumbai. At UF, she’s doing her research under the guidance of Dr. O’Dell from the Radiation and Oncology Department. Her research is based on determining the relationship between the Radiation dose and Perfusion changes in Breast Cancer patients. She worked as a Biomedical Engineer in Sanjeevani Electromedical, India and did her internship as a Regulatory Compliance Intern in Fluke Corporation, Washington.

Priyanka is currently pursuing a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Florida (UF). She is working in collaboration with the Medical Imaging and Computational Analysis Lab at the UF College of Medicine-Radiation Oncology Department under the guidance of Dr. Walter O’Dell, Ph.D. Associate Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology. Her research focuses on developing a Heart Finite Element Method (FEM) approach for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology (DIR). 

Apart from research, to understand the industry and the need for continuous improvement in healthcare, she has worked as a medical device domain specialist, requirement engineer, senior analyst and software engineer at Capgemini, India. Also, she has interned at SIEMENS, India as a Biomedical Engineer.

Shashwat Anant
Shashwat Anant, Civil and Coastal Engineering

Shashwat is a Fall 2019 Master’s student in the Transportation Engineering Department. He was born in India and pursued a bachelors in Civil Engineering from PES University, India. His field of Interest is Transportation Engineering, especially in Transportation Planning and Safety. In his free time, he tries to get involved in doing social works, playing the Guitar, reading books, and volleyball. His  experience at UF is great and he is loving being a part of the gator family.

Sahil is pursuing their Masters in CS from the University of Florida. Before pursuing his Masters degree, he was a Software Engineer 2, at Dell. His primary focus is data science and big data systems. He is also extremely passionate about cloud computing and virtualization. He did his undergraduate degree in CS from Manipal University Jaipur and is from New Delhi, India.

 

Aditya Kulkarni – Computer and Information Science and Engineering

Aditya Kulkarni is from Pune, Maharashtra, India. He received his undergraduate degree from University of Pune. He is currently a graduate student in computer science (CISE). He has two years of experience in software development in India (Fiserv inc.) and an internship experience here in US with Amazon. Along with this he has a YouTube Channel called Comptotherescue where he makes educational videos to help other students.

 

Lokesh Surya Paluri

Lokesh Surya earned his undergraduate degree from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal. While at NITW, he was a student of Electronics and Computer Science. He then spent a couple of years working in the corporate world of software development. He is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Computer Science.

Sajeed Mohammad – Electrical and Computer Engineering

Sajeed Mohammad is a Fall 2019 MS student in ECE department at University of Florida majoring in Computer Engineering. Presently, he is working with Professor Farahmandi and Professor Tehranipoor as Research Assistant at Florida Institute of Cybersecurity (FICS). He is from India and completed his undergraduate degree from VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderbad, India. His primary research focus is on VLSI, Security, Machine Learning and Quantum computing.

Rohan Reddy Kalavakonda – Electrical and Computer Engineering

Rohan Reddy Kalavakonda is an Electrical and Computer Engineering major pursuing a Master’s in the fields of Electrical Devices and high performance computing towards the application in computer hardware. Their undergraduate degree is in electronics and telecommunications from Sanjay Ghodawat University, India. 

Ila Ragade – Environmental Engineering Sciences

Ila Ragade is a graduate student majoring in Environmental Engineering with an interest in solid waste management. During her undergraduate degree, she majored in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Design. Before enrolling at UF, she worked at a compressor manufacturing company called Atlas Copco for 3 years as a Design Engineer. Her increasing curiosity about disposal methods for our compressor lubricants, greases, etc. got her interested in Environmental Engineering and encouraged her to switch her major.

Currently at University of Florida, he is a Master Representative for ISEGSO, UF and Director of Public Relations at IGSA UF. He is from Karwar, India.

Anup Jain, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Anup is a Master Thesis student in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department specializing in Thermal Science and Fluid Dynamics (TSFD).  Currently, he is working as a CFD Testing Intern with ANSYS Inc., NH. Prior to this he worked as a Software Testing Intern with ANSYS Inc, MA. He completed his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pune, Pune. He is from Dhule, MH., India. 

Sai Pranesh Amirisetti – Chemical Engineering

Sai Pranesh Amirisetti is currently pursuing his Masters in Chemical Engineering. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad. At UF, he is doing research under the guidance of Professor Bahar Basim. His research involves the detection of nano plastics in cohesive sediments such as sand. He did his internship in various Oil and Gas Industries such as IOCL, Panipat, and ONGC, Kakinada.
