The Engineering Leadership Institute (ELI) is preparing leaders for the world where technology plays a key role in everything we do. Our experiential and curricular-based education focuses on delivering the skill sets needed to distinguish and prepare our students for leadership roles in their professional careers. The Institute provides access to leadership education to all engineering undergraduate and graduate students, staff, and faculty within the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering.

The Institute provides student leaders with opportunities for education, engagement, and experience in engineering leadership. Courses are available that lead to the completion of a 9-credit hour engineering leadership certificates for graduate and undergraduate students, appearing on your transcript. Faculty throughout the College are integrating specialized, leadership-related training modules from the ELI into their classes. Courses and other sponsored events afford student opportunities to engage with recognized industry engineering leaders, as well as other student leaders.  Students have the opportunity to obtain engineering leadership scholarships, and to represent the College and UF at engineering leadership conferences around the country.

ELI is helping the College in Powering the New Engineer to Transform the Future. Help pave your path to success and take advantage of what the ELI has to offer.
