In some cases, this may mean working closely together on a project. It may also mean connecting you with the appropriate resources \u2013 so that your efforts are consistent with the look, feel and functionality of other communications efforts around the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our strategies for managing high-priority initiatives and campaigns are identified by the dean and senior leadership in the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering. Please note, the weeks leading up to spring commencement are consistently a very busy time around our office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your request for assistance with a project will be evaluated based on your timeline and our availability. We also identify, write and pitch the compelling stories that capture the unique character, events and accomplishments of our faculty, staff and students.<\/p>\n<p>We are happy to help you interact with the media. This may include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing strategies for news stories and their distribution<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating interviews between faculty and media<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining a list of faculty subject matter experts for media inquiries<\/li>\n<li>Providing current facts and figures about the College<\/li>\n<li>Integrating the key points of our strategic campaigns with college news<\/li>\n<li>Prioritizing the publicity of strategic research areas<\/li>\n<li>Adhering to branding guidelines for a consistent look and feel<\/li>\n<li>Planning media training sessions as needed by faculty<\/li>\n<li>Managing crisis communications . . . and more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For questions about Media Relations, please contact <a href=\"mailto:tbanner@eng.ufl.edu\">Tina Banner<\/a>, our director of strategic marketing &amp; communications.<\/p>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"design\">Graphic Design<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>The Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering marketing and communications team offers a range of graphic design services that can transform your ideas into captivating visual experiences. Our talented team is here to collaborate with you on a wide array of projects, from eye-catching promotional materials and event banners to professional brochures and flyers. We understand that design is more than just aesthetics; it&#8217;s a powerful communication tool. Our designers specialize in creating designs that not only look great but also effectively convey your message.<\/p>\n<h3>Logos<\/h3>\n<p>College, department and unit logos are the official marks for institutional segments, such as colleges, schools, departments, centers, institutes, programs and laboratories. All University of Florida entities are expected to follow the identity guidelines and utilize the configuration illustrated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/brandcenter.ufl.edu\/college-and-department-logos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UF Brand Center<\/a>. Creating unique, individual logos is not in compliance with identity guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>When should a college, department and unit logo be used?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On your webpage<\/li>\n<li>The inside pages of publications<\/li>\n<li>Internal newsletters\/communications<\/li>\n<li>Promotional giveaway items and staff apparel<\/li>\n<li>Equipment and machinery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>College, department, and unit logos are prohibited on stationery, business cards or publication covers.
