President Bernie Machen visited the College of Engineering’s Machine Intelligence Lab on Monday to congratulate the PropaGator and SubjuGator robotics teams on their recent wins. Members of the teams, along with the directors, were on hand to welcome Machen and show off their robotic projects.
The PropaGator team won first place in their first year competing in the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International Foundation (AUVSI) and U.S. Office of Naval Research’s (ONR) 6th International RoboBoat Competition in July. The SubjuGator team followed suit with a second place finish in the AUVSI and ONR’s 16th International RoboSub Competition.
Machen also toured COE’s Design and Manufacturing Lab and visited with the Gator Motorsports and Gator Robotics clubs.
