Bio:
Dr. A. Pouyan Nejadhashemi is an MSU Research Foundation Professor who earned his Ph.D. in Bioenvironmental and Water Resources Engineering from the University of Maryland. He serves as Director of the Institute for Water Research and the Center for Intelligent Water Resources Engineering at Michigan State University. His work focuses on developing ecosystem-based and data-driven solutions to complex water resource challenges through interdisciplinary research and stakeholder engagement. Dr. Nejadhashemi has secured more than $56 million in competitive research funding and has authored over 160 peer-reviewed journal articles. His contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including the ASCE Rudolph Hering Medal, Honorary Membership in the American Water Resources Association, and multiple university-level awards for research, teaching, and mentoring.
