This week we will be hosting Tori Morgan and Mehran Homayounfar, Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, UF. They will present tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17th, 2020.
Tori will be presenting “Nanosensors and decision support tools paired on smart devices to facilitate a citizen-science in rural gold mining communities” and Mehran will present “On coupled dynamics and regime shifts in coupled human water systems.”
Bios: Tori Morgan is a doctoral candidate working with Dr. McLamore and Dr. Kiker to engineer sensors for resource-poor settings and integrate the data with risk and decision-making tools to deliver intelligible and actionable information for users. Tori will defend this summer to graduate in August and start a career in Academia.
Mehran Homayounfar is a doctoral candidate working with Dr. Rachata Munepeerakul on modeling coupled natural-human systems with an emphasis on water resources.
