Our nation’s security depends on an advanced military that has technological superiority over our adversaries. Civilian scientists and engineers provide the technical expertise that is required to deliver this technical advantage to the men and women in uniform, and top students in science and engineering are in high demand for careers within the Department of War. Internship opportunities (e.g., Office of Naval Research Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program, STEM Student Employment Program) and Scholarship opportunities (e.g., Science Mathematics and Research for Transformation, SMART) are strong recruitment incentives for highly qualified students interested in these career fields. This talk will cover career opportunities and the internship/scholarship opportunities available to students who are interested in these career fields
