SUMMARY:Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy Webinar Series - Part 1 - I
 ntroduction to EIS
DESCRIPTION:Title: Introduction to EIS\nPresented by: Mark E. Orazem\, Ph.D
.\nImpedance spectroscopy is an electrochemical technique with broad appli
 cations to batteries\, fuel cells\, corrosion\, sensors\, and electrodes f
or neural applications. The section will present impedance spectroscopy to
be a transfer function for electrical properties. The discussion will inc
lude the history of impedance spectroscopy\, applications that demonstrate
the unique capability of impedance spectroscopy to quantify important phe
nomena\, and methods to measure impedance. The experimentalist will be enc
ouraged to select measurement parameters to control linearity\, to maximiz
e information content\, to improve the signal-to-noise ratio\, to minimize
nonstationary effects\, and to minimize instrumental bias errors.\nRegist
