SUMMARY:Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy Webinar Series Part 3 - Appl
ication of EIS to Neural Engineering
DESCRIPTION:Application of EIS to Neural Engineering\nPresented by Marak E.
Orazem\, Ph.D.\n\nThe impedance of ultramicroelectrodes and even microele
ctrodes may be large enough to be influenced by the impedance of the cable
s and wiring network needed to connect to the electrodes. The usable frequ
ency range is characterized by the accuracy contour plot with an upper bou
nd given by the capacitance of the wires and the lower bound given by the
resistance and inductance of the wires. The section will cover measurement
of the accuracy contour plot\; development of process models for SIROF an
d TiN electrodes\, both used as electrode materials for neural stimulation
due to their excellent electrical properties and biocompatibility\; and d
iscussion of regression results\, including comparison to cyclic voltammet
 ry.\n\nRegistration Link: https://bit.ly/4sYuJhX\n\nSponsored by:\nInterna
tional Society of Electrochemistry (ISE)\nNeuroNexus\nThe Electrochemical
 Society (ECS)\n
