Please join us for a guest lecture by Dr. Adam Bates, Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Dr. Bates is the recipient of two distinguished paper awards, the UIUC Dean’s Award for Excellence in Research, and the University of Florida CISE Distinguished Alumni Award for Academic Excellence. His research has also been recognized and supported by the NSF SaTC FRONTIER program, NSF CISE Research Initiation Initiative (CRII), and NSF CAREER Awards.
His talk, titled “They Cannot Escape History: Examining the Provenance of Suspicious Events Trivializes Intrusion Detection,”* will take place at 11:00 AM in Room 5210, Malachowsky Hall.
