Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering Office of Safety in partnership with UF EHS Biosafety is pleased to offer:
GENERAL BIOSAFETY TRAINING
In conjunction with an understanding of basic biosafety principles, good microbiological practices, and containment and facility safeguards, completion of this training can provide a safer lab environment and protect the health of laboratory researchers, other lab personnel and the community. Anyone working directly with synthetic nucleic acids/recombinant DNA, infectious agents, biological toxins, and where these are used or stored, must complete this training upon hire and annually thereafter.
*Those that are not required to take this course may use this course towards the Engineering Safety Certificate*
