Fan Ren awarded Gordon E. Moore Medal

Dr. Fan Ren, Distinguished Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, has been awarded the Gordon E. Moore Medal for Outstanding Achievement in Solid State Science and Technology from the Electrochemical Society (ECS). Dr. Ren was selected for the prestigious award for contributions to the development of compound semiconductor electronic and photonic device processing methods.

ECS is an international nonprofit, educational organization concerned with a broad range of phenomena relating to electrochemical and solid-state science and technology. The Gordon E. Moore Medal for Outstanding Achievement in Solid State Science and Technology is bestowed biennially and recognizes outstanding contributions to the fundamental understanding and technological applications of solid state materials, phenomena, and processes.
