O\u2019 Connell Center. In addition to the <a href=\"https:\/\/commencement.ufl.edu\/\">university-wide graduation<\/a> event in the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, the college recognition ceremony serves as a special platform to celebrate the accomplishments of each graduate as they cross the stage.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bachelor\u2019s Ceremony:<\/strong> Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Stephen C. O\u2019 Connell Center.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Doctoral\/ Master\u2019s\/ Specialist\u2019s Ceremony:<\/strong> Monday, May 6, 2019 at 9 a.m. in the Stephen C. O\u2019 Connell Center.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All engineering graduates will also be inducted into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fB627C1f-Lo\">Order of the Engineer<\/a>, where they will accept the Obligation of the Engineer and a stainless steel ring. This tradition of the Order was initiated in the United States to foster a spirit of pride and responsibility in the engineering profession and to bridge the gap between training and experience. Gonzalez, Bachelor\u2019s in Civil Engineering \u201819<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Luis R. Gonzalez will graduate with a bachelor&#8217;s degree in civil engineering during the Spring 2019 graduation ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>After immigrating from Cuba in 2013, Luis was inspired by the construction and infrastructure that existed in Florida to pursue a career in civil engineering. He began his studies at Miami Dade College, where he earned an associate degree with high honors. As a student at UF, he conducted research in recycling methods for construction and demolition materials. She served as captain of ASCE in 2018 and continues to mentor younger civil engineering students. As an undergraduate student, Mary held internships in construction management with RS&amp;H and CORE Construction. (Santen Ltd), Tenon Medical, Inc., and Key Medical Technologies, inc.\u00a0 He is a member of the board of directors of Droplette, Inc., Advance International, Inc., Koya Medical, and Tenon Technologies, AG. Kal acted as an advisor for mergers and acquisitions with Warburg Pincus and has created significant value for shareholders. Kal invented and brought to market key products and technologies in the healthcare\/biotechnology fields. Sanethia was advised by Dr. Juan E. Gilbert, the Banks Family Preeminence Endowed Professor and chair of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cise.ufl.edu\/\">Department of Computer &amp; Information Science &amp; Engineering<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Sanethia is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and a fellow of the National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science, Inc. (GEM).
