The Hall of Fame recognizes students who consistently enhance the student experience through community involvement, campus activities and scholastic achievement.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"677\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eng.ufl.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/249\/2025\/04\/Alexis-Boselli.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-36553\" style=\"width:300px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Alexis Boselli<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Boselli<\/strong><strong> <\/strong>is a graduate student majoring in biomedical engineering with a minor in nutritional sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfter I graduate this May, I plan to attend a one-year graduate program for a Master of Science in Management at either Duke or the University of Florida. After that, I hope to earn a job as a consultant,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Boselli is captain of the UF cheerleading team, as well as the past president and vice president of Kappa Delta sorority. She is a recipient of the Corre Anding Stegall National Leadership award and a Mr. Two Bits Cheerleading Scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"673\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eng.ufl.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/249\/2025\/04\/Juan-Valderrama.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-36559\" style=\"width:300px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Juan Valderrama<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Valderrama<\/strong> is majoring in nuclear engineering and serves as president of UF\u2019s Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) chapter, which was named one of six Gold Chapters of the Year \u2013 out of more than 300 chapters and 15,000 attendees \u2013 in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As UF\u2019s SHPE president, Valderrama serves on the Golden Gator Council. He also was active in UF\u2019s American Nuclear Society chapter and served as professional development chair for the student group PorColombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBeing involved in all of these clubs, organizations and spaces has made my student experience just that much richer,\u201d said Colombia-born Valderrama, also a Reitz Scholar. \u201cAs I&#8217;m ready to head out the door, seeing this next generation of students who will be leading these spaces is very fulfilling, very satisfying.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Valderrama graduates in May and plans to attend graduate school to continue his studies in nuclear engineering, specifically developing new technologies for fusion energy.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"706\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eng.ufl.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/249\/2025\/04\/amit-sapir.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-36561\" style=\"width:300px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Amit Sapir<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Sapir<\/strong> is majoring in biomedical engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m truly fortunate to be part of an incredible institution that has enabled me to advance biomedical engineering and diplomacy,\u201d Sapir said of being inducted to the Hall of Fame. &nbsp;\u201cI\u2019m humbled by how the University of Florida has taught me that resilience and impact thrive when passion meets opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A College of Engineering ambassador, Sapir has worked in the Human Neuromechanics Laboratory, was the president of UF\u2019s Students Supporting Israel chapter, vice president of UF\u2019s Jewish student organization Chabad, chair of the Jewish National Fund\u2019s College Summit and regional chair of the American Jewish Committee Campus Global Board for the Southeast\/Midwest United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in the medical-device industry.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"693\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eng.ufl.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/249\/2025\/04\/Ashni-Zaverchand.jpg\" alt=\"Ashni Zaverchand\" class=\"wp-image-36563\" style=\"width:300px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Ashni Zaverchand<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Zaverchand<\/strong> is a senior majoring in biomedical engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfter graduation, I plan to pursue a master&#8217;s degree focused on the intersection of biomedical engineering and product development,\u201d she said. \u201cMy goal is to leverage my technical expertise and entrepreneurial mindset to drive impactful innovations in healthcare.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For four years, she has served as the president of Dream Team Engineering, which develops healthcare innovations for UF Health Shands Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zaverchand also is involved with Patent-It AI.
