Kelly III, IBM senior vice president, director of IBM Research, and 2014 SIA chairman. \u201cTrailblazing researchers like Dr. Law are building the foundation for the next generation of technologies that will drive growth in the U.S. semiconductor industry and the overall economy. We commend Dr. Law for his tremendous accomplishments.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Law, the associate dean for academic affairs in UF\u2019s\u00a0College of Engineering,\u00a0was selected for his work in advancing research in integrated circuit devices and reliability. His research group at Florida has developed FLOOPS and FLOODS, the Florida Object Oriented Process and Device Simulators, which previously won the Semiconductor Research Corp.\u00a0Technical Excellence Award.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDr. Law exemplifies today\u2019s highly valued researcher that is relied upon to not only deliver basic research but also help cultivate world-class talent that will continue to propel the future of the semiconductor industry,\u201d said SRC President Larry Sumney.<\/p>\n<p>Law was editor-in-chief of the IEEE Journal on Technology Computer Aided Design from 1997-2002 and has served as an editor of IEEE Transactions on Semiconductor Manufacturing. He has written\u00a0more than\u00a0200 papers in the area of process and device modeling.<\/p>\n<p>The Semiconductor Industry Association\u00a0is the voice of the U.S. semiconductor industry, one of America\u2019s top export industries and a key driver of America\u2019s economic strength, national security and global competitiveness.
