Savannah obtained her B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Savannah’s research interests include neurostimulation, neural interfaces, and somatosensory feedback devices. She has had research experiences at UAB in transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), including a project with the Amthor lab. Savannah also has research experience in the behavioral psychology of nociception, with a paper establishing a novel zebrafish model for chronic pain. She worked at a start-up writing analyzing data and developing experts for a year before coming to UF. Savannah will become a graduate research assistant within the neural engineering core and the Biomedical Engineering Department at the University of Florida. Savannah is looking forward to working with an advisor to explore how neurostimulation can be better used to address central nervous system problems.
