This study describes the color matching layering enamel and dentin shades using the Estelite Omega in comparison to the Vita shade guide standard shades. Composite veneers of the Estelite Omega (Tokuyama) were made by layering the enamel (EB1, EA1, EA2, EA3) and dentin shades (DBL1, DBL2, DA1, DA2, DA3) together (n=3). The color measurements were taken using a spectrophotometer (Easyshade V\u00ae, Vita Zahnfabrik). A Vita shade guide (Easyshade V\u00ae, Vita Zahnfabrik) acted as the gold standard for each shade comparison. The color difference between the composite veneers and the Vita shade guide shades was calculated using the CIEDE2000 formula. The results show that for the B1 shade, the best match would be layering EB1 with DA1, DA2 or DA3 (\u0394E00= 0.44 0.0, \u0394E00= 0.84 0.1 and \u0394E00= 0.79 0.3, respectively). For the A1 shade, the most suitable color correlation came from layering EB1 and DBL1 (\u0394E00= 1.49 0.1). The majority of composite veneers created by the layering technique failed to demonstrate no statistical difference (\u0394E00 2.5) when compared to the Vita shade guide. Shades B2, A2, or A3 shades had no acceptable color matches, with each corresponding composite exhibiting a \u0394E00 value greater than 2.5. The layering of enamel and dentin Estelite Omega composite shades were not able provide color match for all Vita shade guide standard shades.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
