Links UF Engineering students with our local and regional Gator Community. In order to “Power the Engineer of the Future to Transform the World” we must continuously reach out to the young minds of today.

How Can You Help?

Gator Engineers use their skills, talents and ingenuity to provide service to the local and global community in the following ways:

IN-Reach Programs:

The Gator Outreach Initiative has IN-Reach programs on the University of Florida Campus such as:

The Gator Outreach Program (2nd -12th grade students)

Invites 2nd -12th grade students to experience a day in world of Gator Engineering at UF

IMAGINE UF (9th-12th grade students)

Come work with High school students who are interested in getting a deeper understanding of what the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering has to offer future engineers. Contact Darryl B. McCune II for more details.

Out-Reach Programs:

Join STAR Office Role-Mentors, UF faculty, administrators and staff in the field, collaborating with partner schools and other organizations in bringing Gator Engineering to the community.

G.O. Volunteers in the Classroom

The Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering in partnership with the Alachua County School Board  work with the STAR Office to connect Engineering Student Organizations with K-12 classrooms to bring engineering design concepts and interactive activities that helps students to see their classes through from an engineering perspective.

G.O. Volunteers at College and Career Days

The Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering in partnership with the Alachua County School Board work with the STAR Office to attend Local College and Career Days.  Have members of your Engineering Student Organizations register to with the STAR Office to attend the next College and Career Day:  January 13, 2017 @ Santa Fe High School.
