List of Student Organizations

The complete list of ALL 1,000+ UF student organizations can be found on the GatorConnect page. Students join organizations and design teams to gain experience, join a community of peers working towards a common goal, and build their social and professional networks. It’s up to you to decide which organizations and how many organizations to join! Since you are an engineering student, it is encouraged that you join at least one engineering-related organization. The quality of your involvement (depth of contributions and long-term commitment) is valued more than quantity.

You can see department-sponsored and College-sponsored organizations by using the category filter feature found at the top left. You can also search for a particular word using the search bar at the top right. This list of engineering-related organizations has been carefully created by the HWCOE Center for Experiential Learning.

Mission: Open to any and all majors! no experience required. no application required, just brief overview worksheet to help with integration. Throughout the season, we members design, test, and manufacture nine different systems, all essential for the successful operation of a Formula style vehicle. Through the integration of each system Accumulator, Aerodynamics, Brakes, Suspension, Chassis, Cockpit, Electrical Hardware, Firmware, and Drivetrain – our engineers are to maximize the performance, reliability, and safety of the electric vehicle while remaining mindful of the cost- effectiveness. Each summer, Gator Motorsports travels to the Michigan International Speedway to compete against teams from all over the world in the Formula Society of Automotive Engineers’ (FSAE) collegiate design competition. This competition assesses the team’s ability to produce a reliable, high- performance vehicle as well as its ability to organize, manage, and develop a feasible product for the market. Team members design, manufacture, assemble, and compete with the vehicle while applying in-class concepts and meeting strict project deadlines. As the project moves from concept to design, from part manufacturing to assembly, and from testing to racing, members learn the technical, interpersonal, and project management skills necessary for a seamless transition into industry. This newsletter is written to update sponsors and team alumni on our progress throughout the season in terms of design and manufacturing as well as team-wide news. We view our sponsor partners and alumni network as essential members of the team, and sharing our progress is how we like to include you and show our thanks for choosing to work with us.
