Building bridges.
In November 2024, the Renwick Program launched its inaugural symposium, “AI Ethics-to-Industry: From Principles to Practice“, in partnership with Google Research in San Francisco. The two-day event brought together fifty leading voices from the technology industry and academia to exchange ideas and build meaningful cross-sector partnerships.

Keynote addresses from Atoosa Kasirzadeh (Carnegie Mellon University), Chris Bregler (Google DeepMind), and Barbara Evans (University of Florida) anchored the program, complemented by lightning talks and speculative fiction workshops exploring actionable steps to prevent future AI harms.
The event culminated in a conversation between Renwick Fellow Bryan Cwik and NVIDIA Co-Founder Chris Malachowsky, who shared his perspective on the industry’s path forward.
