The urgency to fortify and expand Florida’s semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem echoed through the halls of Malachowsky Hall for Data Science and Information Technology at the University of Florida Feb. 7-9 during the 2024 Florida Semiconductor Week.

Bachelor’s, master’s and specialist’s degree graduates for the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering, College of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Public Health and Health Professions, and the College of Veterinary Medicine will begin their ceremony at 7 p.m. Dec. 15.

Students, faculty, staff, families, and friends are invited to the “Lighting of the Holiday Gator” from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30 on the lawn of the University Auditorium near the corner of Newell Drive and Union Road.

The leadership from nearly all of Florida’s engineering schools will converge on Tallahassee this week to discuss issues of common interest. Dubbed the Florida Engineering Dean’s Summit (FEDS), the event is envisioned as an annual event where academic leaders can explore solutions for shared problems and develop joint initiatives.

The Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at the University of Florida will host the 46th Annual SECME National Student contest on June 21-23, 2023, as part of the SECME mission to ensure all students belong in engineering.
