GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida will receive $3.5 million in federal funds for transportation research as a newly chosen Regional University Transportation Center.

The Florida Innovation Hub at UF is officially open for business. Local, state and federal dignitaries were on hand for a dedication ceremony on Jan. 11.

David P. Norton, the University of Florida’s associate dean for research in the College of Engineering, has been named vice president for research.
