The Renwick Program sponsored The Workshop on Artificial Joint Intentionality (AJI): Skilled Social Interactions in the Age of AI, which took place on November 6th through November 8th, 2025. The event brought together researchers from a variety of backgrounds and institutions to discuss developments in various topics concerning AI ethics and the future of work.

Dr. Duncan Purves, Fellow of the Renwick Program, helped organize the workshop alongside other researchers from the University of Florida, the DenkWerkstatt Berlin, and Indiana University Bloomington. Sonja Schmer-Galunder, Director of the Renwick Program, delivered a keynote titled Thick Descriptions, Thin Machines: An Anthropological Critique of AI Social Agency.
