2022-2023 SECME National Competition

The Swamp proudly hosted the long-awaited 2023 SECME National Student Engineering Design Competition on June 21-23, 2023, marking a triumphant return after a span of 4 years!

Over 120 middle and high school students, along with their chaperones, embarked on a journey to the University of Florida. For many of these young students, it was their inaugural experience of being away from home, stepping foot onto a vibrant college campus. Our enthusiastic SECME participants journeyed from diverse corners of the country, spanning from the vibrant city of Houston, Texas, to the sun-kissed shores of Miami, Florida.

These future STEM professionals converged to engage in various challenges, including the mousetrap car race, VEX V5 robotic competition, and a pioneering pilot contest centered around Artificial Intelligence (AI). Their commitment to innovation and excellence shone bright, underscoring their potential as the future architects of our technological landscape.
