UF in Italy Info Session

Details

The program “UF in Italy – Automotive Industries to Urban Planning” aims to introduce students to the surface transportation system and its components, including automotive engineering principles, and to compare and contrast two different types of systems: that of the US and that of Italy.  The program will offer UF students the opportunity to experience a very different transportation system abroad, while learning about the three main components of the transportation system: vehicles, travelers, and the environment.   The students will learn about principles of traffic engineering and urban planning as they will be experiencing the implementation of these principles in Italy, where pedestrians, bicycles, and vehicles are well integrated into the urban environment.  The program will also provide the opportunity to learn about and experience the automobile manufacturing and advanced vehicle electronics and other technologies in Italy’s Motor Valley.
