This 8-week program is intended to allow students to undertake an internship in a global setting related to their interests or field of study while also learning about Singapore’s unique history and culture. Offered by the College of Engineering and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, it will feature both STEM and non-STEM placements and be open to all majors. The program will offer 6 UF credits including an international internship class and a Global Culture class. Through a full-time internship students will be able to enhance their professional skills and learn to function effectively on multicultural teams. Through reflections and self-evaluations they will be able to recognize and articulate the skills they develop during the program. Through tours, excursions, and engagement with the local community, online modules, and assignments, the program will teach students about Singaporean culture and global competencies. These activities include topics such as intercultural communication, cultural values, and other aspects of intercultural learning.
