UF in Spain – Understanding Next-Generation Energy Technologies is designed to introduce students to next-generation and renewable industrial processes through applied thermodynamics and experiential learning. The program will allow students to learn thermodynamics principles in an innovative way using Python, as well as to connect theory to application by doing visits to solar power plants in the region.
Spain is one of the first countries to deploy large-scale solar photovoltaics, and is the world leader in concentrated solar power (CSP) production. As such, it is the ideal location to learn about the theories of power generation and decarbonization strategies applied to real-world industry.
This program will offer EML 3100: Thermodynamics
