Gator Engineering among nation’s leaders in graduate degrees and diversity

The University of Florida continues to lead the nation as one of the top 10 colleges awarding graduate degrees in engineering, and this week the Gator Engineering alumni base will expand significantly. According to the latest Engineering Workforce Commission figures, UF is ranked #9 in it’s awarding of engineering doctoral degrees, and #5 in master’s degrees. By the end of the 2014 commencement weekend, another 740 master’s degrees and 90 doctoral degrees will have made their way into the world.  

UF is also recognized for graduating a diversity of graduate students. It is ranked #4 among Hispanic engineering students receiving master’s degrees and #7 for receiving doctoral degrees. For graduating female engineering candidates, it earned #6 in master’s degrees and #10 in doctoral degrees.
