Alan George and Oliver Wu named IEEE Fellows

Dr. Oliver Wu

Dr. Alan George and Dr. Oliver Wu, both professors with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, have been recently named as Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Fellows.

Dr. George was named Fellow for contributions to reconfigurable and high-performance computing.

Dr. Wu was named Fellow for contributions to video communication and processing, and wireless networking.

IEEE is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. The IEEE Grade of Fellow is conferred by the Board of Directors upon a person with an extraordinary record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest.
