Ann Marie Chupa joined UF Innovation Station Sarasota County as its Industry Programs Coordinator in May 2019. In this role, Ann Chupa will work with companies throughout the UF Innovation Station’s seven-county region to place UF engineering students in meaningful internships and bring UF College of Engineering resources to local industry to assist in the economic development of the region.

Prior to joining UF Innovation Station, Ann oversaw site management and finance for Ford Motor Company for 10 years and has worked on numerous industry projects to train engineers, manage engineering operations budgets and implement cost improvement plans.

Her experience in the manufacturing industry, secondary and post-secondary education, and knowledge of the benefits of a well-structured internship experience for students will aid her in successfully meeting the goals of her new role and the mission of UF Innovation Station.

Ann holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, an MBA from Wayne State University, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida.
