Julee Breehne HeadshotJulee Breehne

Julee Breehne joined the UF Innovation Station Sarasota County in 2016 as its K-12 coordinator, committed to working with the region’s schools to create an “engineering pipeline” with the University of Florida.

By developing partnerships with local education organizations, Julee will facilitate new programs and encourage entrepreneurial experiences. She’ll work with students, parents, and guidance, and career counselors at middle and high schools to help to identify students interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering. She’ll develop special events designed to engage these students – particularly gifted students and underrepresented minorities – with engineering-related activities and opportunities.

Julee has over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector with most of those years spent in higher education. As the former assistant director of Eckerd College’s Program for Experienced Learners, she worked in admissions and outreach – engaging area businesses and organizations and encouraging adult students to complete their degrees. Julee also spent five years working as the development manager at Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida. She is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, OH.
