
Joel comes to us from the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering First Year Advising and has extensive experience as an advisor and educator for our students. He completed graduate studies in Art History at UF, earned an MFA in Painting at Washington University in St. Louis, and received BA’s in Studio Art and Art History from the College of Charleston. Joel started his career here at UF as an academic advisor in 2014.
Joel’s teaching experience and course development include EGS1006 Introduction to Engineering (over 700 students annually) and the UF in Lille program (90 students annually). I am excited to see his creativity shine as he supports our goals in program development, student success initiatives, and cross-campus collaboration.
