Requesting course equivalency

Course equivalencies must be submitted by the students for courses to be taken overseas. Credit may be given or approved for a course to be taken while abroad, provided that it is shown to be equivalent to a course at the University of Florida, and approved by the department or faculty offering the course.

Students who wish to pursue approval for a course as equivalent or as a substitute must complete this form for each course along with the documentation listed below:

• Catalog entry/course description
• Course syllabus
• Textbook(s) and materials used in the course

Students are encouraged to submit their course equivalency requests as soon as possible to avoid delays to their study abroad planning.
